You know its funny cause I never thought I would really feel this way about my hometown, but you know what they say-You never know how good you had it until its gone, or at least in my case-till you've left it.
Man it seems like the journey I have been on from BLO to DFW has been a very challenging one. All in a quest to find myself and broaden my perspective about life, I decided to enter a world unlike my own.
Honestly, I can't imagine how my life would've turned out if I had been born and raised in the south, but each day I thank God for my humble beginnings and upbringing-because I truly feel it has helped me to open my eyes, even more so, to truth; making me a more well-rounded person.
As the New Year approaches I can see so many changes around me and ahead of me. I am particulary happy for those around me who are being blessed in their lives and I am thankful that God is still doing an awesome work in my loved ones as well as myself as we continue to grow and embrace life.
Soon I will be visiting my fam and friends in a couple of weeks and I can't wait to bring in the New Year spending time with those I love in a town in which I always cherish.
I would hope that for all of you, that you would appreciate and not take for granted any of God's blessings, your triumphs and experiences as they add to you and your character as a person.
May God continue to bless you and yours this holiday season and all year through!!!
In Christ,
CE CE
